Jerome Bouvier raced harness horses at a high level at an early age, worked 25+ years with high risk youth, and with commitment, passion, and an adventurous spirit. Amazingly, the same scenario holds true today! As a keynote speaker and presenter, he now takes those same qualities and empowers others to take responsibility for life’s inevitable challenges and to embrace the power within and taking charge. As Jerome so convincingly states, It’s not what happens to you. It’s how you respond to what happens to you.

Jerome not only has a powerful keynote address, he also has years of experience developing and providing workshops to K-12 schools on various topics.

Why Jerome?

Undefeated by a drug abusing lifestyle and a tragic and paralyzing water-skiing accident in his early 20’s, and months in the hospital, he learned to take responsibility for the endless changes in his life and meet each challenge head on. Coping with being sentences to a life in a wheelchair, and facing his drug lifestyle this man held on to his strong spirit, determination and positive attitude. It was a challenging journey and he was determined to take control, cope with the changes, and be successful. Undoubtably, Jerome understands what it takes to regroup, relearn, and reauthor ones story to move forward and be successful. His life clearly reflects that ‘most limitations are self-imposed. 

Day by day, step by step Jerome ‘rolled’ forward with his life. He returned to horse racing at a high level and reclaimed his life from drug abuse, pursued post-secondary education, worked with high risk you impacting thousands of youth, competed internationally in wheelchair sports, taught in post-secondary institutions, and lead an award-winning non-profit agency. His accomplishments have received media attention on Global News BC, Super Dave show, Fanny Keifer,  and news print USA Today, Philadelphia Inquirer, TROT Magazine, Tri-City News, and many others. 

Today, as a motivational speaker, Jerome captivates and inspires audiences with his unforgettable story and then invites them to recognize their power to accept challenges, embrace change and move forward – in work and everyday life.
